Nakuru man who killed, buried wife in forest arraigned

A 34-year-old man who killed and buried his wife at a Nakuru forest was on Monday arraigned to answer to charges of killing his lover.
Geoffery Kipkurui had confessed to killing his girlfriend on July 21 and later burying the body in a forest.
Kipkirui, however, did not take plea as judges are yet to resume duty from their holiday.
Nakuru Deputy Registrar Nancy Makau directed that the suspect be taken to the Nakuru Level Five Hospital for mental assessment before he is charged with murder.
He further said Kipkirui be remanded at the Nakuru GK Prison pending the hearing of the case.
The suspect is alleged to have committed the offence at their home in Nyota Michorui village in Kuresoi North, Nakuru County.
Kipkurui, a charcoal burner at Bargeret Forest, accused the wife of adultery.
The case will be heard on September 18, 2019.
