Man killed in Homa Bay in fight over widow’s love


A fight over a widow’s love in Homa Bay turned tragic after one man was killed.
41-year-old John Nyambok died after suffering serious injuries on Monday night during a scuffle with a village-mate over who should ‘inherit’ the widow.
The two had been embroiled in a fight on who is more qualified to inherit the woman, whose husband died two years ago.
County police commander Esther Seroney said they had launched investigations as they look for the suspect.
Neighbours said the men discovered that they were both dating the woman.
Nyambok was allegedly hit with a blunt object after the two of them met at the widow’s house in Ndori.
He was rushed to Marindi health centre, treated and discharged.
But on Tuesday developed complications and died
An irate mob carried the deceased body to the attacker’s home but did not find him turning their anger into his house
County police commander Esther Seroney said the suspect and his family fled after realising the mob was on its way to their home.
