Man arrested in Kisumu after loaded gun found in his house

Police took in Fredrick Odhiambo Nudu after a loaded Jericho pistol was found hidden in the ceiling of his house in Kisian, alongside six rounds of ammunition.
Police suspect that the man, who was arrested after a tip-off from members of the public, is part of an armed gang that has been terrorising locals in the lakeside Kisumu.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) confirmed his arrest, adding that he is helping police with investigations as they seek to wipe out criminal violence in the city.

The police said that the operation also saw the police nab, three other suspects, among them one women.
The three are Enoch Ochieng (28), Edward Okumu (28) and Mercy Akinyi (22), who are also helping detectives probing growing cases of gun violence in the area.
