The Makadara Law Courts will be closed down for 14 days in measures meant to avert the spread of the new coronavirus, the Judiciary said in a statement on Wednesday.
Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, Anne Amadi noted that the measures were informed by 2 coronavirus infections within the law courts.
“We direct that the court be closed for fourteen (14 days) and all Magistrates and staff to proceed on self-quarantine forthwith.” the statement read.
The break will allow disinfection of the court premises and allow those affected enough time to seek medical attention.
