K24 job was a side hustle to me, Chidzuga says after sack

Veteran news anchor Mwanaisha Chidzuga has downplayed her exit from K24 after the mass layoff that took place at the DSM Place.
Chidzuga said with the nature of her contract with the Mediamax Network- owned station which was to end in November, she was not shocked to be part of those who have been sent home.
She also claimed that the K24 job was a side hustle for her as her main career was catering and owns three restaurants.
“For me K24 TV was part-time. I am a full-time caterer and I own three restaurants. K24 was a hobby and I used to work like 12 hours the whole month,” said Chidzuga.
Chidzuga joined K24 in November 2015 after she was fired from KTN while preparing to present a show.
On Wednesday, Mediamax Network Limited announced mass layoff where senior journalists and editors have been sent packing.
Chidzuga broke the news of her exit to her followers on Instagram.
She said that journalism was a great experience for her but she had to focus on her passion.
