Jubilee MP: Uhuru must tell us why he no longer trusts DP ruto

Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta will have to give Mt Kenya politicians reasons why he no longer believes in his deputy William Ruto.
Ngunjiri, who is a Ruto supporter, is among those who have openly opposed the president, demanding that he declares whether or not he will back his deputy in 2022.
He now says that together with his colleagues, they are awaiting for Uhuru’s declaration on their relationship with Ruto, and should he declare that they leave him, he must give them an explanation.
“We are waiting for him, and when he says why we should not support him (Ruto) we will listen to him and tell him to table facts. My focus and priority is peace in the Rift Valley region,” he said.
This comes amid cracks in the ruling Jubilee Party, and a division of politicians between Uhuru and Ruto, under the Kieleweke and Tangatanga factions respectively.
Majority of politicians from Uhuru’s Mt Kenya region have been seen to drift towards Ruto, with some campaigning for his bid.
