Governor Mutua: Baba used to beg Kibaki for development in his backyard

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has claimed he used to see reveale former Prime Minister Raila Odinga beg President Mwai Kibaki to initiate development projects in Siaya AND Kisumu.
While attacking Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Mutua said it is through such begging that Kisumu and Siaya are now more developed
The Machakos governor he recently visited Bondo and realised the extent to which Raila had helped develop his home area.
“I was in Bondo the other day, for a fundraiser for a secondary school, it was well built and installed with all learning equipment,” said Mutua.
He urged Ukambani leaders in government to ask for development from the government of the day even if it means begging like Raila did during the grand coalition government.
“I was in government then and I could see him beg for roads and the expansion of Kisumu Airport, but I did not see any leader from my community despite being in government begging for anything on behalf of the people of Ukambani,” he said.
Mutua criticised leaders for making empty promises, in the process revealing how he kept track of his personal mandate to people.
He was recently in Bondo, Siaya County where he attended a fundraiser alongside Cotu secretary-general Francis Atwoli.
