Former Gatundu North MP Kungu Waibara has accused a rogue traffic police officer of slapping him on the face injuring his left eye.
Waibera said he was assaulted at the T-Mall roundabout eight days ago for allegedly asking the cop about the shortest route to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
According to a police report, Mr Waibara, and his family were on their way to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) when the incident occurred.
“Instead the traffic officer manning the roundabout started violently pushing and slapped him twice in the face injuring his left eye and cheek,” added the report.
The legislator was rescued by another cop as the rogue officer attacked him before being rushed to the hospital.
Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
