BBI debate exposes cracks between DP Ruto, Duale

In what appear to be a rift between Deputy President William Ruto and Majority Leader Aden Duale, the latter dropped another hint when he said he does not belong to anyone.
“I am not anyone’s title deed,” he said on Friday when referring to reports in a local daily that he had dumped Ruto.
Duale has been rooting for a parliamentary system of government which is a proposal by the Raila Odinga-backed Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) vehemently opposed by Ruto.
Ruto and his allies have opposed a referendum that seeks to change the current government structure, saying it is a ploy to finish him politically.
Duale has called for a change from the presidential to the parliamentary system of government.
