Hazard ruled out of Real Madrid La Liga opener with thigh injury

Eden Hazard will miss Real Madrid’s La Liga opener against Celta Vigo on Saturday with a thigh injury.
The former Chelsea star picked up the injury during the team’s training session on Friday morning.
Medical reports indicated that the playmaker suffered muscular injury to the right thigh, ruling him out of the first league match.
“After tests that were carried out after training today on our player Eden Hazard by the Real Madrid Medical Services, the playmaker has been diagnosed with a muscular injury to the anterior part of his right thigh,” a statement from the club read.
Reports indicate the Belgian could be out for four to five weeks, with a possible return in mid-September.
That would see Hazard miss a further three La Liga games, his side is scheduled to face Real Valladolid, Villarreal and Levante during that period.
Hazard has had an underwhelming start to life as a Madrid player since securing a £150m move from Chelsea last month.
He reportedly arrived at Real Madrid being overweight after enjoying some time off with his family and managed just one goal during pre-season.
