Gor, Bandari bundled out of continental cup

KPL champions Gor Mahia crashed out of the Confederation cup playoffs after going down 2-1 to host DC Motema Pembe in DR Congo.
Wellington Ochieng put K’Ogalo in front 10 minutes into play before Vinny Bongonga put things level during the first half’s additional time.
Junior Kone scored the second and winning goal for the host on the 66th minute, Gor went down on 3-2 aggregate after 1-1 draw at Kasarani Stadium a week ago.
And back in the country, Bandari FC lost 1-0 against visiting Guinea’s Horoya Athletic Club during the return leg of a CAF Confederation Cup playoffs tie staged on Sunday at the Kasarani stadium.
Mandela Ocansey scored the solitary goal for the visitors on the 65th minute to seal Bandari’s fate, in a tight match that saw the dockers struggle at home.
The lose meant Bandari suffered a 5-2 aggregate defeat to Horoya after last weekend’s 4-2 loss in Conakry.
Bandari coach Ramadhan Balala decried lack of experience in the continental outing as their main undoing and promised to bounce back next year.
Following the defeats, both teams will return to KPL and FKF Shield matches.
